JJs Game Lab
Private playtesting, development videos and project discussion.
OpenTS3 has a space in JJ’s Discord server. Join to follow development, ask questions or talk about what you’ve seen in the videos.
Open Discord ↗Playtesting
Private playtesting is underway. Developers are playing household life and expansion systems in the 64-bit engine; more testers and hardware coverage will help check the remaining rough edges. Wider invitations, requirements and the scope of each build will be announced in Discord.
Applications are not open on this website. Joining the server or contacting JJ does not guarantee a place, and there is no paid route to access.
Sending useful feedback
For a playtest report, describe what you did, what you expected and what happened. Include the build, operating system, graphics card, world, installed packs and mods, and whether you can repeat it. For performance reports, add the camera view, speed setting and how long you played.
Try ordinary routines, Build/Buy changes, travel, cancellation, Save As, quit and reload. A short repeatable example helps more than “it broke.” Review logs and screenshots before sharing. Don’t post game files, license keys, account credentials or personal saves publicly.

OpenTS3 will always be free. No paid builds, paid playtest spots or features locked behind a subscription.
My Ko-fi is for JJs Game Lab on YouTube—it supports the channel, my editors and occasionally my coffee habit. That’s why there’s no Ko-fi support link on this site.
Watching the videos, subscribing, chatting in Discord and sharing useful feedback are all appreciated. You don’t need to spend anything to be part of this.
I love this game and want to see what we can improve. There’s plenty still to figure out, and I’ll keep showing what works, what breaks and what needs another attempt.
A place for the modding community
Planned · not available yetEventually, I’d love this site to help you find mods, see what works with OpenTS3 and share what you’ve made. Less digging through ten different tabs to find that one download. — JJ
- A free mod directory
- Browse links to creators’ own pages. Downloads stay with their creators; we won’t host or reupload their files. Creators get credit and the link back.
- Compatibility reports
- See which mod version was tested with which OpenTS3 build, what worked and what didn’t. Untested means untested, even if something looks promising.
- A community forum
- A place to share creations, ask for help and keep useful discussions easy to find. For now, those conversations happen in Discord.
No pirated game files or links to them. Creator credit, link review and a way to report problems will be part of the directory. Being listed won’t mean a mod is guaranteed compatible or endorsed by EA.
These are plans for later. There is no launch date, and broad mod compatibility with OpenTS3 is still unverified.
No public download yet
OpenTS3 is in pre-alpha and will always be free. It will be open source, too; the repository is private for now. There is no announced release date. This site will link to the official release when it is ready.
